Homeworkers & Multi site applications
Technology Telecoms IP converged systems offer a very powerful multi-site proposition using an IP networked technology to provide total connectivity between all users as if they were in the same building. In addition all features are available to the remote worker as is to the office worker, calls between the sites are carried over the IP network and are therefore effectively free of charge, and as visibility of users is through visual user indicators all staff have sight of who is available. Calls can also be programmed to redirect.
There is no maximum number of systems that can be connected together, with a single system capable of running up to 1100 extensions. All programming is carried out on the main system simplifying installation, maintenance and day-to-day running for customers.
The end users at each site can be connected a variety of ways, all are connected over a broadband connection, and then through a PC softphone, an IP telephone plugged into the router , a DECT cordless handset, a Wi-Fi handset can also be used ( the WiFi phone can also be programmed to roam between the outworkers site and the main office). Features and facilities are the same for all users simplifying training and communication within the organisation.
Hot desking between PC softphones is standard, allowing workers to work from office or remote site.
CTI applications, Call Manager, Busy Indicator, and Office dial etc run across the entire organisation. An extension user in any site can set up their Busy Indicator to view any other extension within their organisation.
The use of common Microsoft Exchange Contacts, or similar directories, enables all users to dial from one source. No more keeping up to date telephone system abbreviated dialing plans or multiple individual directories greatly enhancing maintainability & ease of management
